Course Overview:

Career & Life Planning is an Approved Centre for the delivery of City & Guilds Customer Service Qualifications. The course is accredited in Ireland by the QQI (Quality and Qualifications Ireland), with corresponding NFQ Levels 3, 4 & 5 (National Framework of Qualifications). 

Covering all aspects of customer service, from understanding and meeting customer needs, giving a great customer experience, learning from feedback and promoting your products and services, the learner will be able to move up in their career, no matter what area they are working in.

You’ll learn how to better meet your customers’ needs – a skill that can lead to a better experience for your customers and improved career prospects for yourself. This qualification is suitable for anyone who wants to improve their customer service skills – no matter what industry you’re working in. There are levels to suit anyone, whether you’re looking for your first job or already have some experience in customer service. You can work through the levels to develop the necessary skills for your industry.

 What is involved in studying this course?

The Award in Customer Service is designed to support people seeking employment or to develop those already working. They are single unit qualifications and each level covers the principles of Customer Service. Participants are assessed through a written examination on course completion.

Which level is right for me?

NFQ Level 3

At this level, you will learn the skills required to deliver efficient and reliable customer service. Suitable for anyone interested in Customer Service. Can help you find work in almost any industry or job role – from a call centre to a hair salon to a bank.

Learning Hours: 30

NFQ Level 4

At this level, you’ll gain an understanding of customer service policies and procedures and the communications skills required to effectively deal with different types of customers. 

Learning Hours: 60

NFQ Level 5

This level is ideal for those who wish to enhance their skills in delivering effective customer service and develop the skills of others within a customer service environment.

Learning Hours: 90

Participants can choose to begin at level 3, 4 or 5, depending on individual requirements.
